In the previous weeks, there have been so many unbelievable acts of crime and violence done on children and done by children. Check out National Geographic's program, "Drug's, Inc." . One program whcih aired a couple of weeks ago, is titled, "Hurricane Blow".  It details the drug use in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and it follows several young people who use, and who sell. This is great shock therapy.

In the real world, many of us fall; any kind of drugs; prescription medications, my drug of choice; "street drugs" like crack, coke, meth, etc, just to stop feeling the mental pain, the physical pain for even if it just for 4 to 6 hours, promiscuous sex addition just to have closeness whatever the price or the namebrand purchaser, just to be accepted amoung people, groups and organizations so that it is thought that material possessions equal success.  At some point in everyone's life, this is what we do because this is what we become.  I took so much Xanax, Vicodin, Zanaflex and antidepressants while married to my husband because I was unhappy.  I had to be bombed out of my head to palate his presence, his touch on my body and moreso, his voice and his family members.  Before any assumptions are made, I had complete control of what I was doing.  I was being a coward.  Not advocating from myself and getting the fuck on.  Now, I fell, and I am so blessed to say, I got up. 

Courage dear friends is not some act of pulling someone out of a burning building or stopping a would be assailant, those are couragous acts.  Courage, my love, is that an ember, frail and almost fading out that we stand and fan it to a roaring fire that burns in our heart to say, "I am not going to live this way, I am not going to be this way, I am not going to give anyone else permission to use me only to be disguarded.  Courage is the antidrug, as we are joining hands across all barriers to provide anyone who seeks it.
